WHY “MUKTI”
Mukti”—the Hindi word for liberation—is at the core of my leadership philosophy. For me, leadership is an act of service, rooted in the pursuit of collective liberation in partnership with others.
The systems and institutions that shape our society have been constructed on the foundations of racism, colonialism, white supremacy, and patriarchy. These forces are so deeply woven into the fabric of our society that they often go unseen, even as they continue to cause harm.
True collective liberation requires us to courageously name and disrupt these centuries-old systems of oppression within ourselves, our organizations, and the world around us so that we can begin to reimagine and co-create equitable systems that allow all of us to thrive, and to fully realize our brilliance and potential.
